When we think of biscotti, we often imagine enjoying a slow cup of coffee in a quaint Tuscan village. Originally, biscotti was a twice-baked sweet bread that had a very long shelf life and was perfect for long trips. Essentially, it was an early to-go food. While we prefer the slow savoring of our morning cup, we often find ourselves on the go, with not enough time to really slow down and enjoy the moment. This month's microbatch bar is a bridge to both the fast-moving mornings- when you have to grab and go, as well as the slow, savoring ones- when you can take it all in. Our 75% Brazil chocolate pairs gracefully with the delicate almond flavor of classic biscotti made by our friends at Ramone's Bakery here in Eureka. The back of the bar is covered with roasted almond slices, and delivers an extra bit of almond punch to the aroma and flavor of the bar. Enjoy it on the go, or over a slow cup of coffee, Tuscan style
 

Ingredients: Cacao, Cane Sugar, Biscotti (flour, sugar, brown sugar, butter, eggs, almonds, cinnamon, baking powder), Almond*.
