chocolate vanilla bean milk punch

INGREDIENTS

¾ CUP (6oz) MILK

¼ CUP (2oz) HEAVY CREAM

⅓ CUP (2oz) DRINKING CHOCOLATE

1 TABLESPOON GRANULATED SUGAR

½ TEASPOON GROUND NUTMEG

1 VANILLA BEAN, CUT IN HALF LENGTHWISE

BOURBON

 

DIRECTIONS

In a saucepan combine all ingredients, except vanilla bean and bourbon, and whisk together over low heat until chocolate has melted and mixture is smooth (do not boil). Use a milk frother or immersion blender for the smoothest blend.

Add vanilla bean and remove from heat. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to use (at least 1 hour).

Strain half of mixture into cocktail shaker. Add ice and 1 shot bourbon and shake vigorously for 30 seconds.

Pour into glass and garnish with with whipped cream or chocolate shavings if desired
