Frozen Drinking Chocolate

Drinking chocolate isn't just for cold weather... add some ice and blend yourself a chocolatey frozen drink this Summer! Just a few simple steps and you have a refreshing afternoon treat or dessert.


• 4 ounces (113g) 70-75% dark chocolate
• 2 tablespoons (24g) granulated sugar
• 1 1/2 cups (355ml) whole milk
• 3 cups (428g) ice cubes



Heat 1 cup of milk with sugar in small pot until scalding. Remove from heat and whisk in chocolate until melted and smooth. Place in refrigerate to cool for 10 minutes.

In a blender, add the chocolate mixture, remaining 1/2 cup milk, and ice. Blend until smooth. Pour into 4 glasses, top with whipped cream or garnishes as desired. Serve immediately
