Chocolate Vanilla Bean Milk Punch

Our Chocolate Vanilla Bean Milk Punch is a rich cocktail perfect for entertaining or a cozy evening at home. This chocolaty drink combines milk, heavy cream, drinking chocolate, a touch of nutmeg, the aroma of vanilla bean, and a shot of bourbon to achieve a balanced blend of flavors.
¾ cup (6oz) milk
¼ cup (2oz) heavy cream
⅓ cup (2oz) drinking chocolate
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 vanilla bean, cut in half lengthwise
In a saucepan combine all ingredients, except vanilla bean and bourbon, and whisk together over low heat until chocolate has melted and mixture is smooth (do not boil). Use a milk frother or immersion blender for the smoothest blend.
Add vanilla bean and remove from heat. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to use (at least 1 hour).
Strain half of mixture into cocktail shaker. Add ice and 1 shot bourbon and shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
Pour into glass and garnish with with whipped cream or chocolate shavings if desired.
